We are learning about:

• Mo Willems as our mentor author
• number patterns
• states of matter
• number families
• editing and adding to our writing
• writing in response to reading
• using strong vocabulary to make our writing more interesting

Some activities we did:

• turned pennies green
• Mrs. Fitzgerald came in to teach us how to write about our characters feelings
• began writing our own books based on Mo Willems' style of writing
• 
• looked for patterns in math word problems
• wrote in response our reading
• read LOTS of Mo Willems books
• created sensory rainbows
• made the Cat in the Hat
