Our week in K

This week we celebrated our new reading super powers!  Ask your Seal what super power they are working on!

Some activities we did this week:

  • played with 3-d shapes
  • made new shapes with smaller shapes
  • discovered how changing a ramp you can make a ball go farther
  • published  list books
  • practiced our super reading powers
  • opened up our classroom maker space
  • read lots of winter stories
  • talked about kindness
  • went on a fabulous hike in the woods to look for animal tracks

Nothing is more fun than P.E. in the snow!

We had a BLAST in the snow during P.E. today!  We hiked through the snow and slid on our bellies down a hill.  We are so lucky to live so close to the woods.

Classroom maker space

We will be opening up a maker space right in our classroom.  This will be a space for the Seals to design, create and discover!
We are requesting donations of any extra things you may have around the house that you no longer have a use for.  Maybe you have a few holiday paper plates left over or a game that no longer works? Your "trash" may be our treasure.

Some examples:
toilet/paper towel rolls
straws
duct tape
Dixie cups
string
yarn
toothpicks
cereal boxes
 paint stirers
screws and nuts
plastic containers
old toy parts
paper plates or bowls
Qtips
sandwich bags
foil
cotton balls

We will happily put to use any items that come in!
