Super Readers

Have you heard that the Seal Class is full of Super Readers?  We have been practicing our super reading powers.  We are using pointer power to check our reading, looking for snap words (sight words) in all of our books and reading all that we can!  To celebrate our hard work, Super Reader delivered a gift of super hero capes and masks.  We needed them today to search SMS for our missing snap words.  Super readers to the rescue!

So happy to be back together!

We were so happy to see each other after the five day vacation!  We built a huge city out of blocks, Legos and trains.  We also tried on lots of costumes that we added to our dress up center!  We will be opening a classroom maker space next.

Our Math menu this week was all about turkeys!  We rolled a die to build a turkey, practiced subitizing, made
feathers with shapes, decomposed numbers and made books about the number 10.

Reader Man came to deliver special light up pointers to help us practice our super reading powers!

We loved our light up pointers so much that we created our own super hero pointers to keep in our reading boxes!

We baked breads to share with the Frogs, Otters, Fish and Panda Classes for their Thanksgiving breakfasts.
