busy weeks in K

This week in the Seal Class we:

  • had a visit from Reader Man
  • practiced our super reading powers
  • wore super hero capes
  • put on the Three Little Pigs play
  • opened the post office
  • wrote letters
  • made number bonds
  • skip counted
  • made turkeys
  • played with geometric shapes
  • built houses out of cardboard
  • played snap word Simon says

We start every day outside unless it is raining or under 18 degrees.  It can be quite chilly without a hat or mittens.

Have you heard the exciting adventure the Seals and their Science buddies have started?  This incredible group of students LOVES to write and share their writing.  What better way than to send it to others?  When they discovered there was no easy way to share their writing quickly they immediately began problem solving.  The buddies have decided SMS needs a post office.  The ideas vary in scale and complexity and are all amazing.  We have stamp designers, mailbox builders and engineers developing a way to get the mail upstairs. The energy around this project is contagious!

We are looking for donations of:
cardboard boxes
blank labels
fabric
duct tape
envelopes

Thank you in advance,
The Seal Class
