This week
We are learning about:
*the importance of reading long and strong
*being a rainbow reader
*how authors write about what they know and care about
*adding numbers to 10
*creating designs with pattern blocks
*exercising to keep our bodies strong
*how to be a flexible thinker
*the sound short a makes in words like man and jab
*circle notebooks
Some activities we did:
*played the dice roll game
*created a September calendar
*drew the things that are most important to us in our author's heart
l*istened to our heart beats after we exercised
*began our practice run for the Fire Tower 5k
*practiced spelling words
*wrote in our circle journals
*created pattered apples
