Math in the garden and puppet shows

We explored the SMS garden and looked for groups of things that we could sort and count.  We discovered lots of plants and insects and even practiced stretching out words to label our pictures!

We celebrated the Three Billy Goats Gruff by making our own puppets and performing a puppet show!  Look for the videos on SeeSaw at the end of the week!

This week in kindergarten

This week in the Seal Class we:

• went on a number hunt around the school
• became authors
• hunted for words to read in our classroom
• painted seals
• counted the number of letters in our names
• created graphs
• built numbers with cuisenaire rods 
• read The Three Billy Goats Gruff
• practiced writing numbers
• played math games
  
• read with partners
• painted with sponges
• learned how to play shoe salad
