Marshmallow challenge

The Seals worked together in teams to build the tallest structure they could that would hold a marshmallow. We used straws, masking tape, string and one marshmallow.  We learned about the importance of planning before you build and of working as a team.  The Seals designed, built, changed their thinking, revised their plans and built again!

Our classroom maker space is open!  The Seals are having a fabulous time creating, designing, building and discovering!  Thank you so much for all of the donations we so appreciate them!

Super Readers

We are Super Readers!!

We have reread power!

We began our new Super Powers reading unit!  We are learning how readers use their super powers to look, point and read everything they can.  Readers also use their pointer power to check their reading and make sure what they say matches what they see.
