Upcoming Events
We have quite a few upcoming events that will keep us very busy!
October 26 Early release parent/teacher conferencesOctober 28 Halloween celebration for students and staff. We will dress in costumes and have a special snack in our classroom after lunch.
November 2 early release parent/teacher conferences
November 8 no school students teacher inservice day
November 11 no school Veteran's Day

Garden Planting
How does your garden grow?
A great big thank you to Mrs. Rich and friends for helping us to plant crocus bulbs in the SMS garden. We cannot wait to see them grow in the spring.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff
We have spent lots of time in reader's workshop becoming fabulous story book readers! We practice sounding like the characters and following the story line. We have been doing lots of work around old favorites like Caps for Sale, Corduroy, The Carrot Seed and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Today made puppets from Three Billy Goats Gruff and acted the story out for each other. Tonight the puppets will be coming home so that you too can enjoy the show!
